PROJECT NOTE
When the pandemic put everything on pause I opened Procreate as a way to stay creative and close to friends. The goal was simple: turn everyday photos into stylised portraits that felt light, playful and a touch nostalgic.
PROCESS & RESULT
Using an iPad and Procreate I traced clean line art, filled it with flat colours and added graphic backdrops like paint splatters, geometric cut-outs or soft halo shapes. Each portrait keeps the same stroke weight and warm palette so the set feels consistent, yet the background treatment lets every personality stand out. The series became both a skill-building exercise and a visual diary of the people who kept me company during lockdown.
