DESIGN BRIEF
The task is to create a refreshed packaging design that enhances the product’s visual appeal, communicates its key features, and resonates with the target audience. In this case I am presenting a “Día de Muertos” Special Edition of the Seltzer Rifadita from the brand Corona.
DESIGN PROCESS
When thinking about the repackaging design I had it clear that I wanted to do a Special Edition. In Mexico, during the month of November, it is quite common to see brands do a Special Edition on “Dia de Muertos”, a tradition that celebrates those who have left us. My design process involved extracting inspiration from the core elements of this day: cempasuchil flowers, decorated sugar skulls, and traditional papel picado.
