Inspiration/Process

Description:
DESIGN BRIEF
The task was to update the Tres Lienzos brand identity after two years of organic growth. The original system used Black Mango typography and a color palette tied directly to each planner edition: Moonlight, Almond, Epiphany, and Blossom, one color per version. As the website, product photography, and social media took shape, the brand's direction shifted toward something more minimal and editorial, with a quieter, more spiritual tone that the original system no longer captured.
FINAL DESIGN
I redesigned the wordmark in Raleway, softening the letterforms with more rounded edges, while keeping the isotype untouched to preserve continuity with the original mark. The color system moved from four planner-specific hues to a monochromatic palette built around Slate Azul, Carbón, and Crema, each with a lighter secondary variant for backgrounds and dense content, plus black and white reserved for one-color uses like stamps or legal documents. The result feels calmer and more cohesive across every touchpoint, and it now serves as the reference point for all future editions of Tres Lienzos. For more on the project, visit treslienzos.com.
